starting problems...HELP!!!
Im posting this for a friend...for some reason the car wont start. he siad it was making some weird sound on the tranny side before it completely went out. we did a compression test and still seems fairly good. it sounds like it wants to crank but wont actually turn over. we pulled off the distributor and it seemed to be locked up so we replaced it with a new one...even the rotor and cap. we pulled the plugs and tested for spark. it is getting spark and fuel but just wont turn over. any one have any suggestions??? please post if you know what might be going on...

maybe bad starter or ur cables could be corroding...i had the same problem too except my car would just click and wouldn't even attempt to turn over

well it cranks just doesnt turn over...the starter is still good because it cranks but im not sure about the wires. honestly i dont think its the wires because its gettin spark and fuel just doesnt turn over. any more ideas???
