So I recently got a Honda civic 2000 for college, and it ran great at first. Lately though it has had problems starting, although sometimes it starts fine. When I turn the key I almost always starts, but it chugs really bad. A couple times it hasn't started at all, but within a day or two it will. The only way to get it to stop chugging after it is started is to get it going forward. Revving the engine in neutral or going in reverse does not stop the chugging. I have tried everything I can think of, I got a new coil, module, checked the spark plugs, among some other things. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Take apart the starter remove and clean the positive and negative terminals from the starter. Instructions on how to do that is on FAQ this should solve your problem.

Do an ignition system tune up - plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition timing, fuel filter.

Any CEL codes?

Checked Everything but the rotor, ill do that and see what happens tomorrow. Thanks
