Default Starting problems after installing walbro fuel pump

Its a honda civic coupe with not tuned h22a2 engine, fuel pressure regulator was installed before the pump and everything was working fine, except for of course civic fuel pump couldnt allow enough pressure for that engine, so after like a month, civic fuel pump was replaced with a walbro 255lph fuel pump, i drove the car for like a full day , and everything was perfect, smooth acceleration, no lags; but after leaving the car sitting for about 3 hours i started the car and heard a weird noise coming from the fuel pressure regulator, so i restricted the fuel flow a little bit, but the car would stumble as i gave it more throttle, so i had to adjust it back to normal, but it started doing the same thing. After playing with the fpr a couple more minutes i tried to start the car and it just wouldnt. An hour later i managed to start it for the first time (it was working rough, like a tractor, so i gave it a little bit of throttle, but it just died out again), so i started it like that again and tried to adjust the fpr while its working to reduce the pressure, with a smallest turn of the adjustment screw the car died out and just wouldnt start again nomatter how i adjusted the screw. I have no fuel pressure gauge so i cant actually see what pressure its at and if there is pressure at all. I can hear the fuel pump priming when i turn the key.Is there a way to check if its fuel pressure regulator thats fucked, or maybe its something else and someone had the same situation?

Sounds like the diaphram is blown inside the fuel pressure regulator. You need a new one or an aftermarket FPR like AEM, Paxson, aeromotive, etc...

Thanks for the reply guys, i did sort of dump the original fpr so i guess its time to get a new one, with a built in fuel pressure gauge, this one was crap anyway
