starting problems
my friend has a b18c block with a b16a head. it was burning white smoke and was leaking around where the head and block meet. so he took off the head, but he didnt replace the gasket. he said the gasket looked okay so he sprayed it with copper spray (which didn't have copper spray on it before) and we put it back together. he also has arp head studs which he thinks were not torqued down to the specs required for those studs, so he torqued them down correctly this time and put everything back together. now the car won't start at all. i am not sure everything he has checked as far as spark and air and what not, but he says that he did a compression test and every cylinder is getting only 30 each which has to be the culprit. can anyone tell anything we did wrong just by reading this? were we stupid for putting that old head gasket back in? any help would be appreciated we really need to get this car running for him. thanks.
