Hello;

I own a 95 Honda Del Sol and recently I have been having problems with my Del Sol. In the morning, after a long period of not using the car (Typically 2-3 days) I have found that the car will not start. When you turn the ignition, it clicks rapidly. I have installed a car alarm (about 4 months ago) and recently this problem has happened. The reason why I mention the car alarm is because I had a kill de-activation switch (If the car alarm goes off you have to press the button to start the car) installed and the car will start when the kill switch button is pressed but it will start slowly. Almost as if it had no power at all. But once the car starts, everything is fine. Then, when I use the car in the evening, the car works and starts fine. I was wondering if the solenoid for the starter may be going bad or if this can be isolated to the car alarm. Thanks for your help!!

Sounds like a weak battery. Maybe the alarm is draining the battery?? Might just be a worn out battery.

How old is your battery. Maybe like LostBoy04 said, its probably just a bad battery.
