standard/auto d15 questions
ok so my motor(d15b7) is slowly going out... and i head a complete swap from my old dx coupe that only had one original owner before me and that motor has about 97xxx miles on it.. so i figured i would swap that motor into my car.. the only thing is that my car is a 5speed and that motor was in an automatic car..
so.. is there any differences in the longblocks?? would i have to switch anything around?? all help is appreciated.. thanks

Engine is identical between automatic and manual, the throttle bodys are however different between '92 - '93 and '94 - '95 though, keep that in mind, '92 - '93 uses a firewall mount MAP sensor, '94 - '95 are directly on top of the throttlebody.

Re: standard/auto d15 questions
the transmission should bolt up no problem…*however ECU is gonna be something I think you'll need to deal with. not sure if it's going to be as simple as swap it over or not but I'm sure someone on here could answer that.

Re: standard/auto d15 questions
You'll have to pull the clutch off the old engine and remove the flex plate from the new engine, and the reinstall the clutch, make sure you use the MT flywheel bolts, the ones for the automatic flexplate are too short. then its just a case of bolting up the tranny.

Re: standard/auto d15 questions
ok so i got everthing together and got the motor in the car!! it took about 5 hours total.. the only thing is that when i turned it on i saw a bunch and i mean lotsss of smoke coming out my muffler... motor was super quiet though..idle seemed fine.. but smoke like crazy... i turned it off and went over everything and noticed that the tps and plug that plugs into it from the harness wasnt connected.. so i plugged it in but it wasnt really connecting i guess it broke when i was putting the motor in.. so i held them two together and used a zip tie as a temp. fix.. turned the car back on and smoke was gone
