standalone on a VX and engine swap

standalone on a VX and engine swap
can a Hondata replace the VX ecu and still runs properly? or is the VX ecu made so perfectly to save gas that the standalone could not replace ? I was looking at the Hondata website and I didn't find anything to replace the VX(P07) ecu.
Its OBD-1 so I'm thinking that the Hondata will work for it, am I correct?
I want to do a D16z6 swap later on and boost it, and can I reuse the VX o2 sensor? wiring harness will just match up to everything right?

I wouldn't bother putting a stand alone or anything on the VX until you swap. The VX uses the 5-wire o2 that will be replaced with any engine swap. Even on a stock Z6 it's not worth the money to buy and tune a Hondata. If you ever in the future get a turbo Z6 then it would be a wise investment.
