Default Stalls when idleing

Hi everyone, i am new here and desperly need help. I recently bought a 1997 civic cx hatchback. Since then i have bought new wheels and an exhaust. I decided it would be a good idea to put some sort or security/anti-theft device in it so i decided to put in a hidden kill switch. So i went out and bought a toggle switch thats rated at 10A. So i cut the live wire to the fuel pump. To see what would happen if it was started with no power to the fuel pump, i tried tried to start it and it died within 2 seconds. Perfect. So i soldered in the 12gauge wire and the toggle switch and put everything back together. Then i tried to start it with the switch off and it didnt even start. Then i turned it on and it started and ran fine for 5 minutes. Later that night i took it for a ride and when i came to a stop sign it stalled out on me and it kept doing that all the way around the block whenever it came to an idle. What could possibly be causing this? Could it be something wrong with the computer when i disconnected the battery to solder the wires? Please help!

Either you cut into the wrong wire for the fuel pump, or you have a fault connection somewhere.

I solder my map sensor for my turbo setup and i would get a code for map sensor voltage high. It only happens sometimes. Clear the code and all good.

Then a few months later check the wiring and found out the connection had broke after the solder joint and was just touching.

So yea check the wiring and switch.

So i got in it later that night and it ran fine. So today i took it to work and no problems once again. Halfway home from work it started to have the problem again, when i came to a stop, the idle would go really low and the whole car would shake, i cant see it being the connection because it runs perfect when it is driving and/or the rpm's are above idle. I read that it could be the idle control valve reseting when i disconnected the battery and that it should fix itself so i thought that might have been all it was. And wouldnt you know when i got home and let it sit and kept it running, then it idled by itself no problem after that. Very tempermental. Maybe i should just give it time to re-adjust itself?

And if you don't know if it works, put the key in and turn it to ON, but don't start it. You should hear a click, and the CEL should pop on for 2 seconds, then another click as it shuts off. That is how you know that it is working.
