Default stalled manaul civic, wont restart

Hey all,

97 civic dx 5 speed. 160k

I went to get lunch during break at work and I stalled in the drive thru. I was in 3rd on accident. then it wouldn't restart. wont turn over. I try and there is the clicks and the radio dies. Symptoms of a battery. I was able to push start it drop the clutch in 1st and go with no issues. got back to work and it still wont start. cleaned the battery terminals and made sure it was all tight. still the same, no turn over. radio dies a click or 2. any fuses I could have popped? any ideas? it was fine once I push started it so Im not sure what it could be.... unless the battery really did die as that moment. every part of me says battery just the circumstances are the question.

thanks...

Get your battery tested. Check your grounds point. Chassis to tranny and all. Most likely your battery is old and dying. Not holding charge anymore.

Check the charging system to make sure it is not a case of a good battery simply running down. Get the car started and measure the voltage at the battery. It should be about 14 volts. Then turn off the key and have someone try to restart the car while you measure the voltage at the battery (on the lead posts that are part of the battery, not the terminals). If it drops below 9 volts, battery is bad. Batteries can have the plates break inside and suddenly have low or no capacity. If the voltage at the battery stays up but the car doesn't crank you need to check the grounds, the terminal connections, and the starter.
