what do you mean a few threads? when you tighten the bolt, a few threads are left, or short a few threads? can you post some pics?

the bolt should be fine as long as it's torqued down to specs. if you feel uncomfortable with the existing bolt you can do one of 2 things:
1. replace your lower control arm for an oem one that has the holes for the sway bar (thats what i did).
2. go to your local hardware or parts shop and find a replacement bolt w/ same size threading, but just a little longer.
in my opinion st should have supplied you with a replacement bolt. you can also give them a call and see what they suggest. hope everything works out. good luck
