Default SS Clutch Line Pictures - EK Hybrid

I lagged big time on these pictures. I didn't want to take out my airbox so that I could see the lower clutch line end. But today I installed a PWR radiator and a FAL fan, so I had the airbox off and snapped some pics.

I made the clutch line with GoodRidge fittings and some TFE Lined Steel Braided Hose that has a protective plastic wrap around it. So it should not wear into anything. The entire setup cost roughly 60 bux. Fittings are expensive and TFE hose with a protective coating isn't cheap either.

This was to replace the hardline that wraps the tranny on my D motor. So when I did my ITR swap, instead of adapting the hardline and using the stock rubber hose, I replaced both with the SS line.

Well, the pictures speak for themselves. I also included a few snaps of my new radiator.

PS: The hoses are not Purple. They are blue, they just show up purple in every picture I take of them

Not to be a jerk, but purple looks.... odd.
Nice job on the clutch line.

Honestly. No. But I had a problem that I wasn't going to be able to address until I pulled the motor out. So I figured, what the hell, I'll just replace it with an SS line. Definetly more durable then the stock rubber. Could possibly argue that it would give you a better clutch pedal feel, but after that, nothing special about it other then it solved a problem I had before I had it.

Even if the hose is blue, I don't see anything wrong with purple. Looks trick either way. You got a bad-*** setup going. If it were my car I think I'd slap some individual throttle bodies on that badboy and auto-x the **** out of car. Nice car!

Thanks for finally getting the pictures. I might have to do that with my clutch line when I swap...

Looks great Puff daddy. Let us know how it holds up to the task after couple of track events.

Only problem is that those will only work in an EG or DC where the rubber line is short and goes from the front hardline and then to the frame rail.
On the EK, there is a rubber hose twice as long that goes from the rear of the tranny to the firewall.

Thanks guys.

This car will definetly see the track. It will be auto crossed mostly in Street Mod, but not untill it is fully broken in and I figure out what is wrong with my VTEC, which still isn't working. I also have plans for some HPDE as well.

The ECU sends 12v to the solonoid at about 5900RPMS like it should. The solonoid clicks when I hook 12vs to it. So it isn't an electrical problem. The valve moves freely in the solonoid. Still no VTEC. Oil level is fine.

So I am going to swap out the solonoid and valve. I don't have anything to check the oil preassure, so if the solonoid swap doesn't do it, I will have to take it to a shop to get the oil preassure tested, then go from there.

I bought 3 ft exactly of line. And cut about 6" off. So it should be 2.5 feet long.

They have them for EK's as well- can I ask how much you spent on your setup??

I paid about 60.

They wont have what I needed though. The stock EK line is only 8-10 inches.

GJ man... I still love your car, that's the exact same car I want, engine and everything

Your hoses look purple because they're against red, put them against blue or green and they'll look darker blue than they really are when you look at the 1st person. You know the color trick stuff, right?
