srs MES problem
so I have a 94 civic hatchback vx and I've done this probably 20 times with the same result. the SRS light just flashes continuously, evenly spaced flashing. I connect the MES connector jumper, let the SRS go out, within 4 seconds I remove the jumper, the light comes on, reconnect the jumper, it goes out, remove.... and the dreaded blinking I'm inquiring about. I've checked the codes and I'm getting a 10-1 code from the SRS if that makes any difference. any help would be great.

Re: srs MES problem
10-1 means the SRS unit thinks the airbags and/or the seatbelt tensioners have blown. The only way to fix it is to get a new unit.
Try local craigslist or eBay. Or try here for nationwide salvage listings:http://www.car-part.com/
Were you or a previous owner in a wreck were the bags went off?

Re: srs MES problem
yeah thats what I found on google with the 10-1 code description. the title is clean but I'm pretty sure its been in a wreck just due to the fact that the passenger side fender/ frame has a gap where the unibody is welded. so I'm going to say its been wrecked haha. I had a clockspring issue and I resolved it and thats when I tried to clear the SRS light and found this issue...
