I was just curious, but where in the engine bay are the sensors for the SRS. Basically where are the sensors located that make the airbags deploy? I wanna make sure I have them installed. My car was stolen and I am tryin to make sure they are still there. I have a SRS light on in my 2000 Honda Civic Si and both my airbags are installed. I do have a Race seat, and I believe that is the culprit, but I still wanna make sure I have the sensors installed.

The sensor is located in the control unit underneath the dash behind the cup holders - I have a 99 hatch. They give you a nice big CAUTION: Don't bump the SRS unit as it could set off the airbags (from my 96-99 Helms ETM).

The schematic shows no provisions for anything that has to do with you seat, so unless something was added in 00, I think you may be referring to the seatbelt connector under the seat.

I think the car has a weight sensor in the passenger seat. That was the bag doesn't deploy if no one is in the seat. My moms Accord has that.

Ahh I know where that box is! How the heck does that work? If that box is the sensor then what is it doing in the car? Shouldn't it be up front or something. How does it work? If the car is jolted hard enough it will sense it and make the airbags deploy?

That bos is the actual module for the sensors. I believe that the sensors are on the firewall on the inside under the carpet and the firewall mat.
