Default squeky brakes

ok so i have 2000 civic ex

it was completely stock and I lowered it on tein s springs about 1.5" drop nothing drastic

well when i took off my wheel one of the wheel studs snapped and I had to replace it which required me to take the wheel bearing apart to do this. So I took I got a new wheel bearing pressed in at a local tire man shop along with the wheel stud and then i took the wheel bearing back home and put the car back togeher. During all this time I lost the tiny little brackets that keep the brake pads wedge in there but I didnt think it was necessarcy to use those. So I put it back together and now it makes a squeking noise. Sooo I tokk the brakes apart again and greased them up really good and it went away for about a couple weeks guess what its back!!

If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Default Re: squeky brakes (acurar)

your gonna need those "tiny little bracket". i suggest you go to autozone and get the brake hardware kit. check your pads to make sure they didnt get jacked up.
