Default squeeking when turning and over bumps.

As the title says. I have a 1996 Honda Civic CX and I'm hearing a squeeking noise coming from the front drivers side. Everytime I go over a bump or when i turn the steering wheel, it squeeks.

Suspension mods I have are tokico blues on skunk2 coilovers.

Could it be the lower ball joint as it was the part that failed on my DA integra when it was making that type of noise.

Please let me know guys!

hmmm...i dont know what would cause it to make noise when its standing still except for maybe the weight of the car. thats pretty weird. exactly what kind of noise..like metal on metal? or something else. and is the car running when its making the noise?

****, my car just started doing the same thing bro. It started after i drove home on a really fucked up freeway over here in cali. Its coming from exactly where u said, front drivers side, like a squeeling noise, like a mouse. I have a ej8 lowered on s-techs and kybs, my camber is cool so i think it might be the lowerball joint. It makes the noise only when turning left tho which is weird. Happens when standing still and moving, i think i need to get down there and listen for the origin of the noise.

i've never heard a wheel bearing squeak. I would bet its a suspension bushing, or maybe even the shock.

How exactly does a Wheel bearing squeak? Someone please explain to me how a freaking wheel bearing squeaks..

Squeaks like you are describing are almost always shock/suspension related. Apparantly it does it when you push down on the front of your car, which means it's probably your shock(s), and probably nothing to worry about. That's just my 2 cents.

if your timing belt squeals something is seriously wrong with your car. your ps or alternator belt can squeal but that would not be caused by hitting a bump or taking a turn.

wheel bearings do not squeek, i have never heard a wheel bearing squeek the noise they make gets exponentialy louder the faster you go and when u turn the wheel one way you can REALLY hear it and when ur going straight u tend not to. probaly a shock...

push down a few times on the corner the noise is coming from when the car isnt running....if it squeeks its suspension probaly shock related.

I belive I have your answers guys. I recently installed some eibach lowering springs, and new struts. I installed new top bushings as well. I had this mouse squeak as well in all four corners. Me being **** about my **** decided to investigate. Well if you pop your hood open, and take a look at where the stuts come through the top of the car you will see little rubber bushings. The side that makes noise push down on it and listen for the noise. Chances are it will come from there. Take some silicone spray and spray the **** out of it. Give it a minute to soak in. If it goes away, all is good. It will come back in a few miles, but just spray it again. This is what my problem was on all 4 corners, they dont make a peep now. If this does not fix your problem there is another fix. Chances are your strut is making noise, which is not all that uncommon. On top of the bushings making noise my right front shock was squeaking to. All I did was jack up the front of the car, take the tire off and take away all of the wheight off of the shocks. Throw the tire back on, drop it down torque the wheels and push down on the car. Hopefully its gone, if not it may just squeek. While you have the wheel off check for loose parts, fluid around the shock/strut, anything bent. Hope this helps let me know if this fixes it for you guys.

is it squeeking, like humping on box springs squeeking?
or is it more like squealing, like a loud noise that usually lasts for 5 seconds at a time?

had the same prob. on my eg recently. It was the lower ball joint. Rubber got a hole and all the grease came out. Changed both and all the squeaking stopped. Check them and see if there are any hole on the rubber boot.
