Squealing from rack and pinion

Squealing from rack and pinion
I keep getting a squealing noise from my rack and pinion when turning my steering wheel either way. I already checked my power steering pump and belt and its all fine no leaks or anything. I noticed that the driver side boot came off could that be the problem? Maybe it just needs more grease?
Its a 93 civic EX btw

How did you check the pump? Did you check the fluid level? Has the fluid ever been replaced? Is the noise coming from the area where the boot is missing?

Re: Squealing from rack and pinion
I have driven on a rack in a 95 till it was about to fall apart. It sounds more mechanical to me, I'd put money on that pinion gear grinding some teeth. Also, does your pump whine when you are driving in reverse?

@RonJ fluid has been replaced but its coming back black also the noise is coming from the middle of the rack. I also see that some liquid has leaked around that area
