Squealing from passenger side wheel/suspension area - need ideas for what to check
I am looking for things to check on my 93 Civic HB DX...
I have had this crazy come and go as it pleases crazy loud squealing noise that i have narrowed down to coming from my passenger side wheel well.
I just recently re-lubed all the brake parts thinking it was brake related but it hasn't helped.
Not always, but it seems to start after I make a turn. If I come to a complete stop, it will stop, the noise slowing down with the momentum...but eventually will come back whenever it feels like.
I know the area where the noise is coming from, just need some ideas for what to check that might cause such a noise.
CV joints typically cause knocking sounds, right? What about ball joints, tie rods, etc?

Are you sure your tire isnt rubbing the wheel well? I get a crazy squealing sound when I turn, cause my 215/45/17's are way too big for the wheel well.

Pretty sure that isnt the case...I am only running 15's.
Like I said, the noise is really random. I can't reproduce it at will. It comes and goes as pleases. Once it starts, I can come to a complete stop and it will quit. Once I get going again, it's fine. Then comes back whenever it wants.

I have that same problem. I suspect that it is the tire itself. I will know when I get my tires rotated in the next few days. You should try that as well.
