Squeaky Noise...PLEASE HELP!
Hey I have a '97 Honda Civic EX Coupe (AT) and it has about 89K miles on it. When I first got it from the dealer it ran perfectly fine at 87K miles. But recently I was driving in the morning and while I was accelerating my car started making a squeaking sound, almost like the sound of a cricket. The sound would stay there until I let go of the gas. Also, when my engine is on and the car is on 'Park,' my car makes a similar sound. What do you think this problem could be?
Please reply ASAP. Thank you so much because I don't really know anything about cars, I just want this one to last long. Thanks again.

Re: (mattEG)
I'd go with belts...except, is your car a 5-speed? My Ford Probe has a pilot bearing squeak sometimes at idle and in first gear, but never after that. Probably the belts, my Probe is just weird
