Squeaky clutch engagement
95 Del Sol Si
stage II ACT clutch
no other tranny mod's
sometimes when I engage the clutch (1st gear) from a stop, there is a 1/2 to 1 second squeak as the clutch is engaging and the car begins to move forward.
-yes the ebrake is always off
any insight?

did you grease the splines, and contact points for the shift fork when you replaced the clutch? If not then this is the fix for your problem. Follow directions = better results.

You have air in your lines. This can be a symptom of that. Does the pedal flinch a little when you press the clutch in?
Have you recently swapped the clutch or has this started to develop out of nowhere?

Re: Squeaky clutch engagement (tuck'd98)
When the the car is stationary, and i simply depress the clutch pedal and release, there is no squeak...however, when i depress the clutch while the car is in gear and slowly release to bring the car in to motion, there is the single "squeak" as the car pulls forward. its almost like the noise is being generated from somewhere around the pressure plate or something.

Re: Squeaky clutch engagement (mikeyp5d)
Now I don't know if this is the same thing but as of a couple days ago, my car began to make this odd noise. When I start up the vehicle while "IN 1ST" clutch fully depressed, a noise similar to a chirp like a loose belt appears for a split second. The belt is not loose and is a month old. Soaping the belt would make this noise go away if this was the case. Not the case. If the car is in neutral... when starting, the noise does not happen. Only when in 1st gear start up.
Any ideas?
