Squeak when I turn th wheel. Brand new everything!!!!
(PROBLEM SOLVED)
Hello H.T. I am somewhat new to this site but not to the Honda scene but I am having trouble with the steering in my 92 honda civic 3dr vx. I recently replaced all the bushings with the es master bushing kit and I also bought a new rack n pinion (manual). Along with that I replaced upper and lower ball joints and new outer tie rods as well. So basically everything is brand new so I don't understand why there is a squeak when I move the steering wheel to either direction.
Sounds like this

UPDATE!! Well I just took out the rack n pinion and I turned the spindle that leads to the steering wheel and it seems a bit ruff . Idk if it's because it's new and hasnt broken in yet but compared to my old rack n pinion it's somewhat ruff. I turned the spindle on the old rack and it was smooth like butter.
I have searched and searched but everything I have found says to replace something because it maybe worn out so I will really appreciate your advice/help. Thanks in advance.

Is that IN the cabin coming from the steering wheel itself? My wife's does that when it's really cold. If not you need to get under the car while someone else turns the wheel and track down the source of the noise. You'll never find it doing what you're doing in the video.

The video is one off YouTube it just sounds like that .
What bushings need to be lubed?. I lubed all of them I just wanna know so I can go back a relube everything again. When I turn the wheel from the outside(driverside) it doesn't sound like if its coming from the bushings it sounds like if its coming from the rack itself. Is there anyway the rack n pinion can be bolted on too tight? I couldn't find the torque specs so I gave that baby all I had lol. Don't have a second pair of hands right now to turn the wheel while i investigate, so as soon as I get a pair and get to the bottom of where exactly The noise is coming from I will update.

Not Honda oem piece. Lol I wish I could afford brand new oem . It's aftermarket replacement. I took off the whole assembly and it (feels) as if the rubber/plastic seal that goes around the spindle to the steering column is real tight around the spindle. The spindle spins with no squeak but the spin isn't as Smooth as the one I replaced.

Re: Squeak when I turn th wheel. Brand new everything!!!!
Problem solved. Took apart the rack n pinion and it ended up being a rubber seal on the passenger side of the rack that was a little bit toooooo tight. I gave it a little bit of sanding just to give it that little extra room to still squeeze in there but not to tight and added a lot of extra grease since I was already in there and then installed it and the squeak wet away. Thanks everyone for your help.
