Default Sqeaking Problem.

I got a 99 civic sedan lx...Everytime my car is on...I hear a sqeaking sound under the hood...it gets louder when I on my AC...it can't be the belt for the AC because I changed it along with another belt...the only one that I did not change was the steering belt...does anyone have an idea on what may be wrong?...Thanks...

you gotta give us more details. put the car in park and take a deeper look. it could be just about anything.

any aftermarket parts that could've been installed improperly?

squeaking as in a belt squeaking or is it something that squeaks when you're driving and you're hitting bumps? If it's the driving and bumps thing it's your hood latch. I had that problem a while back and couldn't find it for the life of me. I thought it was an engine mount, exhaust bolts loose, all kinds of stuff. Turns out that when the hood was closed I could push down on the front and it would squeak. Stupid thing. Had to take it to the dealership. Took them 2 hours so I don't feel so bad.

I got the alternator belt changed...and it even sqeaks when the car is parked...it only squeaks when the car is on and a little bit louder when the AC is on...i changed the alternator belt and the belt for the AC...it still squeaks even though I had those belts changed...i still did not change my steering belt though...maybe it could be that...I don't know...any other ideas on what the problem could be?

Don't change belts... adjust the tension properly and you're ready to go... maybe it is your A/C tensioner going bad... check that...
