Default sputtering away in the rain in pa...

i have a completely stock 2000 ex and when it rains, the engine sputters and bogs down and lags until the engine is fully warmed up. otherwise, in the dry and once it's fully warmed up, i have no problems. it's thrown a code, but the check engine light goes out when i start the car again. i took it to autozone and had them try to pull a code a few days after the light when out the first time this happened a few months ago, and they didn't get a code.

it's driving me nuts, so i come to the all knowing at honda-tech for a solution. i have a 40 mile commute to work ONE WAY!

thanks in advance guys/gals. honda-tech holla.

do you have an aftermarket ignition system or intake? if you have an aftermarket ignition system, you may have a leak at the dist cap. if you have an intake or aftermarket filter, it may be soaking up the moisture.

a customer traded the vehicle at the dealership i worked at and the only thing it needed to pass safety and give a full inspection was a new oil pan because jiffy lube ftw lol.

i bought it 30k miles ago so i'm pretty sure it's due for plugs, wires, cap...

Change that stuff out man. That may be your problem. It could be something else but thats where I would start. The gasket between the dizzy and cap may be bad also, but the new cap will have one with it. Give it a go, and let us know how you made out.
