Default spun rod bearing help?

have any of you spun a rod bearing and then just replaced and drove on?
gimme some experiences and suggestions
low budget here
and 65 bucks for bearings is a cheap way out if i can do this
what do i have to loose right?

i did it. same bearing spun again after 10 miles

so i figured the crank/rod journals were messed up, didnt wanna deal with it, so i picked up a d16y7 shortblock in the classifides section. car runs a million times beter now

This just happened to my friend in his CX. He bought a z6 and called it a day.
