Default Springs vs coilovers, hyperco vs MOOG?

I'm looking at getting a full set of KYB AGX struts, which spring size would I want for a near stock height, and is it worth it to get hypercoils for a DD?

The MOOG springs all seem to lower the car over 1", I really want just a stock height spring, but if the HYPERCO springs lower it 1" or less I can deal with it. I need decent springs for my Civic because I drive 200 miles a day easy, every day of the year.

My garage has the civic, D16Y8, and the struts and springs are old, and I just want to replace em with long term hardware.

EDIT2:figured out coilovers are just assembled shocks.

EDIT: I also drive in Pittsburgh PA all day, lots of potholes(sinkholes) and lots of hills and bends. I'm not too worried about stiffness, but too much softer and I will bottom out the struts all the time.

Sometimes brand new OEM springs cost a lot less than you think. Check majestic Honda. I've seen new rears as cheap as $30 each.

Ordering four of these, the stock springs are 15"(http://goo.gl/jCNfF), so 14" springs should only lower it slightly.

Anything I should know about 300lb spring rate, does that sound good, I used the calculator to determine the lbs.

The stock springs are $68 these are $60.

If you are going to use OEM shocks/struts without coilover sleeves, then you are looking at the wrong stuff. Stop shopping at circle track or dirt track websites!

If you want comfort, then buy/use OEM springs. If you want a mild drop, then look for springs made for YOUR vehicle. There are many choices of springs, but they all have different uses - you need to know what you are looking at before purchasing something.

"Coilovers" mean a couple things. Most people on this site will consider those to be threaded collars that can adjust the height.

Good luck, but you need to really research before buying.

This isn't a dirt track, circle track website.

Are you telling me that hypercoils are dirt/circle track springs?

Will they fit on the KYB AGX's?

Help me out here, I'm looking for a long term solution for a DD that drives 200+ miles a day.

EDIT Will the OEM springs fit the KYB's
