go coilover and the higher number that it is a adjustable the better. just replacing lowering springs is no good if you're gonna race IMO at least. besides...if ur "racer X" does race...go coilover. totally adjustable. not sure what you race (IE drag or auto X or street) but if you do legit racing you can always lower the **** out of the car for better handling and then raise it back up before you drive home.

a few of my buddys have K sports coilovers. they're okay. not too bouncy. and you can find em for about 500 bucks

I would get springs for street use. but if you want adjustibility and tune-ability for race go with koni shocks Ground control springs. If you just run coilovers with stock shocks you will hate them.

slip on coilovers with stock shocks or stock replacements aka kyb gr2's or tokico blues will bounce and ride like crap, i have weapon r, kyb gr2 right now and it sucks, because the preload is gone it bounces like crazy

get full coilovers, you won't regret it, if you can't afford them keep looking and don't settle, i have buddy club racing spec dampers on the way that I got for $499

Full coilovers are definitely worth ever penny, but if you aren't ready to spend that much then go with lowering springs and avoid the cheap sleeve style coilovers.

Dont put lowering springs on your stock shocks. In just a couple of months your shocks will mess up... Mine got all messed up after i put eibach sportlines on them. The best bet is Skunk2 coilovers... this way you can make sure everything works rite together. And Skunk2 coilovers happen to be low price and good qualilty... under $300. I paid $250 just for eibach springs when i could have had a full coilover for 50 extra... dont make the same mistake I did. I have an ek hatch also! And by the way whatever you buy make sure you ALIGN THE CAR... ESPECIALLY IF YOUR GONNA FLOOR IT!
