Springing leaks underneath car, gas and brake fluid. need all new lines.
I noticed i could smell gas when i start my car and no leaks under the hood, so i checked underneath, theres was a steady drip right where the plastic covering for the lines ends. Im talking about the 5 or however many parallel metal lines that run from the front to the back of the car.
I peeled back the plastic covering, and everything was rusted to hell, the lines looked corroded and decaying, with a small pinhole leak spraying gas. I ended up having to cut the second line from the drivers side, in 2 places, and clamp on some fuel injection hose to fix the leak. I thought i was all done but when i went to drive the car the brake pedal starts mashing to the floor. i never had this problem before, so i stopped to check and sure enough, car is dripping brake fluid. I must have shook one of the corroded lines loose enough to spring another leak.
My problem isnt with one of those lines, its ALL of them, they are corroded just like everything else on my damn car. I want to go ahead and replace all of those lines, with steel braided lines. has anyone done this before? do they sell a kit to replace the lines, other than getting them all new from the dealer for 120 a piece? im looking for any info pertaining to this, since its not a very common problem here in texas none of my friends have ever had to deal with this stuff on their car. maybe you guys from coastal areas or up north would know a little more.

your best bet is to go get the lengh of hard brake line that you need (3/16th) and flare the ends and reconnect using a pressure fitting

brakes you could do yourself just by tubing and connectors, DONT use crush fittings, now the fuel lines, might as well upgrade now to steel braid if your gonna replace those

but ive searched and the only fuel lines i found were the one from the filter to the fuel rail. I need the one from the tank. Am i gonna have to get some steel braided line by the foot from a local hot rod shop? or is there a kit out there?
How long are those brake lines that run to the rear? I have a 95 sedan with ABS, and from the looks of it we dont sell any brake line that long where i work. Where could i find that stuff?
