Default spring rates?

I have an EK and a set of coilovers. my spring rates are 8K front and 10k rear. it rides kindda hard. Is that too much for an street car? it handles really good

What seems to be the best rates of these hatchy

I had Tein HAs with those same rates, although I think fronts were 10k, on my eg. I couldn't stand the ride, way too stiff for me. I ended up selling them. I wouldn't go more than half that for a street car. But that's just me.

And to convert rates:

I don't know, I'm pretty happy with my Teins and rates of 14k/10k

It really depends where you live and where you drive. In Dallas my Eibach Road Race springs do just fine, but if I'm going to austin I be sure to take the hybrid with it's stock suspension.

i wouldn't admit that...

I have JIC FLTa2 with rates of 10k/7k and it's pretty streetable in my opinion I was even thinking of going a little stiffer

8k and 10k are certainly streetable but as said above it depends on where you live. I'm currently just on lowering springs and I was in Richmond this past weekend, it was pissing me off.

When I run them fairly stiff (8f/10r) they seem pretty solid. I admit I can feel the road, but maybe I'm just used to it.

Yeah depending on how shitty your roads are it can get annoying. Luckily my city is repaving a lot of the roads and highway so its not too bad if you know where to stay away from.
