i did that assuming the "k" stood for kilograms and it was some huge number like 24,000 pounds so i know thats wrong.

k is the names used for the spring constant in hooke's law. You could play around with trying to convert it, but you have to know what units it's already defined in.

If you assume that the k values are newtons per millimeter then:
11N/mm = 62.8 lbf/inch
10N/mm = 57.1 lbf/inch
9N/mm = 51.4 lbf/inch
8N/mm = 45.6 lbf/inch

I have no idea if those are reasonable spring rates. They sound rather low to me. If you assume instead that the k values are kgf (kilograms-force = 9.8N) per mm then

11Kgf/mm = 616.5 lbf/inch
10Kgf/mm = 559.6 lbf/inch
9Kgf/mm = 503.6 lbf/inch
8Kgf/mm = 447.6 lbf/inch

Those sound a bit high, but again, I have no idea what a reasonable spring rate is.

If I were you, I'd call up whoever you're buying the springs from and have them figure it out for you. They're more likely to know exactly what's up with the numbers you have.
