Default Spring Help PLEASE>>

I am in the middle of installing spring on my civic and I need help. I am trying to remove the center bolt on top of the shock assembly. It said to use a 5mm allen wrench to hold and a 14 mm wrench to turn it. Well all I had was a 3/16. All it's to small and a 7/32 is to big. Now I think the allen key bolt is stripped. How do I get it out??????

I've done this before, more than once. I hate those nuts.

I got lucky and powered it off with an impact wrench. The other time I just sawed it off. But, I only need the top hats in that instance.

And once again, this happened to a friend. We sawed it off and bought a new strut. Gabriel brand at Autozone, $70 or something, it performs well enough. You are right down the street from one right? off of rt 40?

If you stripped it, saw it off. Other than that, I can't tell you. Cause you don't have any wrench's that fit. Unless you can get a hand on an impact gun.

get some more alan wrenches and see if one fits better. You mey have to hammer it in to get it to fit. Otherwise, cut the nut off.
