Re: Spoon Sports N1 Axlebacks $335 Shipped with Free Silencer ... (madtownhonda)
Mike I know we have had our differences in the past but i am very interested in the exhaust, but i have a few questions
1. how hard is it gonna be to have piping mad to fit up to this axel-back system when the time comes
2. Is there any exhaust on the market that you can relate the tone to? Apexi N1 for instance? If not, is there anywhere I can get a sound file of it?
3. I had an Apexi N1 on my Si and it put a whole in my gas tank is the Spoon going to, too?
4. Lastly I'm poor and an not going to be able to purchase until the end of the month will you still have any or be able to sell at this great price?
Thanks for all you help

1. You can buy the Type One B-pipe and it will bolt up to this axle back exhaust. I'm sure Mike sells that as well. Otherwise, you can probably get some aluminized steel pipe bent for you for under $150. Give or take for things like resonators and pipe bending technique and flanges. It will bolt up to a stock b-pipe as well.
2. It is deep, deeper than the Apex exhaust. It is also very loud, but not raspy. I've never used the silencer in mine, it's not THAT unbearable.
3. I never had any problems with the gas tank. This exhaust fits perfectly, it doesn't rub on anything. Ground clearance is good.

1. Your better off using your OEM B Pipe or using a T1R B Pipe ($325) as having custom B pipes made is pretty costly (If you use SS and Mandrel bends)
2. Not really, Spoon N1 is a VERY Deep tone too it, Its Loud like any N1 but not much louder than the others on the market. At idle its not much louder than stock, Its onlt Loud when your really on the gas. Silencer helps quiet it down a bit.
3. No it won't, I don't carry Apexi Exhausts any more because of too many fitment complaints. Spoon fits like an OEM piece
4. I might still have some if not and if the # interested is large enough we will be able to order more and keep the special going.

what axle back should I order if I have a 92-95 Civic Coupe? IF there is one that will fit without being modified by a muffler shop I would be interested in one.
-thanks

Special on the B pipe is $325 right now.
Anyone with a 92-95 Hatch can pick up on our last B Pipe special of $295 as we have one left in stock at that price, but only for DC2 and 92-95 Civic Hatch.
You get what you pay for, The Quality is above 90% of exhausts out there both in looks and finish as well as durability and longevity.

If possible can you take pics of the part that bolts to the B pipe? Im just curious as to why it doesnt bolt up to the Tanabe S.R.M. pipe.

If your Tanabe B pipe is made to OEM Specs then it will fit, if not it won't. Easy way to check, take your OEM axleback and try to bolt it on, If it won't fit you'd need to have an exhaust shop modify it for about $25-50
