Default Spoon / Mugen Headgasket

Hi,

I'm using a JDM B16A with stock compression ratio ( 10.4 :1).

I was wondering how much compression will i get if i changed to a Spoon or Mugen headgasket?

I also see that there are 1 layer and 2 layer spoon gaskets....does the 1 layer mean higher compression ?

Please let me know. Thanks.

Regards...

wow ...cool stuff man.

How about those spoon ones. What's the difference in compression between a 1 piece headgasket and 2 piece headgasket ?

The Mugen head gasket is 0.47mm and it will raise your compression a little less then 0.2 but they Spoon is 0.45mm so it will be a bit higher compression.

Can the Spoon 1 piece head gasket give me 11:1 compression?

hmm for a small price for a spoon head gasket.... 10.8:1 isn't that bad! B16B standard!

Could this be the best bang for buck mod ?

NO, the labour for installing a headgasket is expensive. You will have to take the head off the block to do so. Don't do it unless you are taking out the head for other reason.
