What is a "brease"? You mean brace? lol Never heard of it, only the master cylinder brace.

hey, im just writing EXACTLY how it was written on their website. Like nw.dave said, its probably block brace. Don't flame. if you don't know, then just don't say anything. The whole point of this is to LEARN. It says something about secondary vibrations in a 4 cylinder..so yeah..can anyone contemplate on this?

looks like some sort of block main cap girdle. where the rods bolt to the crank, at the bottom suppose to make everything more rigid. Some other manuf. like nissan even domestics have these. But like i said not quite sure

It's obviously a main girdle. Looks pretty damn nice. Is that the one that you need to use the blue oil pan with?

I can't believe some of you people. . .

Well on Hot Version, they installed that and did some head work on a CTR motor and got it to rev to 11k with stock internals and such. And its not 5k its like 2.5k with the oil pan

spoon is for people who do professional road racing...not for jdm ricers, the products they make are unique and high quality, sponsored cars and companies can afford their parts and use them, they dont just add hp, they add balance to the motor, and reliability, they allow the allow the motor to do things a boosted gsr could never do

SPOON=

spoon isnt as big here in the states, since so many people have established relationships with american companies.

honda challenge racers are definitely using spoon parts, you're probably not looking hard enough.

I love how the new thing to do is to hate on spoon.

We already established what it is. It's a block brace. Bolts to the main caps on the crank, to prevent vibrations which can cause big problems on a high rpm motor. This particular one incorporates into the pan rails on the block, instead of just attaching the the mains. OTher companies like z-10, endyn, and hybrid garage make different variations of block braces.

I believe you have to use a special oil pan with this girdle.

Ugh...let's drop the Spoon debate. Their stuff is expensive, no question, and some of the parts work well, while some are simply rebadged OEM stuff.

The people that jock it because it's a hot name need to calm down, and the people that hate on it because it's overpriced just need to learn that that's how commercialism works
