Default Speedometer Goin Crazzy

Hey can someone help me??? I have a 92 honda civic I just replaced my axles and tranny seals and i was driving down the road goin about 70 and my speedometer was goin nuts could this be because of low tranny fluid??????

your speedo cable might be damaged, due to you had just worked on the trans. And is this happening all the time

no i just replaced them about an hour ago it just started today just now and the lights arent dimming or anything

Speedo cable?

There's a green (i think it's green) wire from your vss going into your firewall, make sure it's connected correctly.

Did a shop do the work or was it DIY?

I had this problem arise with me i just had to replace the speedo cluster due to very high resistance on 1 of the coils.. i dont know what the specs are. to keep cost low for the moment take a friends cluster hook it up and see if you have the same problem.

I would do that.

ek forever guy My bad.. i have a old honda prelude that has a cable (87). im not common with newer style civics sorry about that
