Default speedometer

so i got a new cluster today because my old cluster's mph meter wasnt working. when i plugged in the new cluster it still did not work. all other gauges do work gas, heat, rpm etc. is there something wrong with one of the caples or what could be the cause of this?? if anyone knows please let me know! thanks in advance

Vehicle Speed Scensor located on the tranny.

If it was the VSS, the ECU should be throwing code 17.

Regardless I'd check the VSS against a known good one anyway, but I think the problem might be a loose wire in the chassis harness. Find a wiring diagram and a multimeter.

Your right Kendall but we all know that there are plenty of honda owners that run around with CEL and not a care in the world. Let me rephrase my first post. Check the VSS and its cirtuit, if that doesnt do it check underdash harness. Goodluck.
