Default Speedo problem

I got a 96 ex and the speedo and the odometer dont work neither does the cruise control light nore it even work itself.....do you think the connector came off on the back of the cluster or what...a week before this happening i got a speedo sensor replaced....also the check engine light came on when all this happened

Mine stopped working once and my check engine light was on. Got it replaced and the light came off. Your odometer isnt working because your speed sensor isnt working. It doesnt know how fast ur going and at what pace so it stops counting miles until the speed sensor is fixed.

Go to AutoZone and get them to plug up their diagnostics scanner and see what the code is. I'm pretty sure it's going to be your VSS. Be sure that everything is plugged in on your tranny. It's on back side of the tranny almost directly under your throttle body.
