speedo not working
so here is the problem. we just put a poor mans r into a 95 ex coupe. it has del sol si motor harness. we have no speed reading. we have swapped in three different speed sensors, two sohc, and one gsr that came with the motor. we also swapped in two different computers, the gsr computer it came with, and a chipped b16 computer. neither made a difference. were at a loss here. our next step is to check the resistance in the wires to see if it is a wiring problem. we are also going to try swapping the cluster, but i really dont think the cluster is the problem because if it was the just the cluster, it should still engage VTEC right? its pretty cold right now, so we are gonna call it a night, but i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for other things we could check?

Re: speedo not working (FATBOYeg6)
1) Check whether either fuse 12 or 24 is blown.
2) If the speedo, odometer, and tripmeter don't work, then you should troubleshoot the VSS circuit and ground wires. If only the speedo doesn't work, then it's likely a gauge problem.

x2 speedo not working + trip not working = vss/grounds, make sure VSS sustains continuity from the sensor/fuse/ecu
if its just the speedo (which i doubt) then you've got a lot of work ahead...
