speed sensor.. a few questions.
Where on the tranny is the speed sensor. Mine is screwed up, my speedo jumps all over the place and my check engine light comes on. Other than that the car is fine.
How hard is it to replace......... can anyone help.
The car is a 92 Civic BH CX 1.5.

Its fairly easy to replace, just unplug the harness, remove the 10mm bolt and pull the sensor off of the tranny. I had one go bad on me just a week ago, my speedo did the same thing yours did before it completely stopped working and threw a CEL (water corroded the prongs on the sensor making it useless).

It should be behind the starter at the back of the tranny, you'll notice that the sensor has only one 10mm bolt attaching it to the tranny. As far as sensors go, I believe they should be the same, just as long as they came off of a hydro manual tranny.
