Default Specific power steering addition questions in a 96 DX hatch? (Yes, I searched)

We have a 96 DX hatch without power steering, I am adding one in for the wife as its her daily driver...

So, I searched and I was unclear on some things:

1) What subframe do I use? Choices mentioned via searches seem to be:
a) 94-01 Integra (must use Integra LCA so caster is unaffected)
b) 96-98 Civic EX
c) 99-00 SI

2) What PS pump do I use with stock d-series and will it work with a B18C5 swap in the future?
a) 96-98 Civic EX
b) 94-01 Integra
c) 99-00 SI

3) What reservior do I use?
a) 96-98 Civic EX (has 3 lines, 1 needs plugged)
b) 94-01 Integra

4) What lines do I use? Some confusion on this subject when I searched
a) 96-98 Civic EX
b) 94-01 Integra

5) Replacing u-joint on steering rack is apparently an issue using the GSR/ITR rack
and joint from 96 Del Sol VTEC needs to be used on EG, no idea about EK!

Also, I plan on using an 00 Integra GSR rack.

Please advise.

Thanks for your help!

I can't believe you don't just trade it for a car with power steering-you know the dx hatches have ps??? you must have a cx or starting in 97 the dxs have it.

Not all DX's came with power steering as far as I know. Our hatch is super clean, it's hard to find one in this condition around these parts. Thanks!

you can use your subframe because all ek subframes are the same you just need the horseshoe brackets, the power steering pump will need to be changed when you go to the b18c but for the dseries use any d series pump 92+, resivoir doesnt matter, use the lines from any ek civic
heres a complete walkthrough. http://repo.jackmoves.com/v/erik/album106/album119/.

Monicle - Thanks much for the reply!

I have your thread bookmarked already. I left a comment on your site asking if you could email me

Do you know what PS rack I need to use? I am being told an Integra rack will not work - they have quicker response than the civic rack per my searches on this board?

I wonder why? I was thinking tie-rod ends may be different as rack is longer possibly? A swap of tie-rod ends may do the trick...just guessing!
