Default spark plug wires and resistance ?

Guys,

I got CEL with cylinder 4 misfire error code p0304.
I had done the following :
- Checked the spark plug, they are fine and just replaced less than 4 months and may be less than 2000 miles on it. The Gap is perfectly fine at 0.040 in the recommended range
- Checked the sparkplug wires resistance with the ohm meter. The 4 wires reported different K ohms (6.99, 7.33, 10.11, 10.33) for cylinders 4,3,2,1. All these resistances are less than 25K, which is the recommended in Hynes manual for Honda civic.

- Checked the distributor cap, the contact points seem to have some little white corrotion (not sure if this problem caused the CEL light on) , I used a soft sand paper and scraped the white stuff out. The contact points seem fine now and the rotor is also in good shape.

My questions are :

- Do i need to replace the spark plug wires ? They seem perfect to me and there is no pickup problem in the car.

- There is no visible breaks or damages etc in the wires. (my take is don't fix it if ain't broken)

- May be, not sure, i need to replace the distributor cap.

Your expert guidance is appreciated and thx for reading the long descriptive post

Regards

Hi, Thx for responding, It happenned 6 months ago, same CEL ERROR code, The spark plugs were bad, I replaced them and reset the CEL and everything was fine and now it started the same CEL error. The car runs smoothly and no problems as far as the pick up or performance.

You do realize that Haynes and Chilton books are made by the same company right?

I agree with you on the helms though, doesn't get any better than that.

To the original Poster: Bump for you dawg, cuz you've already tried everything that comes to my mind.

one thing i didnot mention is that my car has hit 100K miles last week, All the parts in the care are OEM since bought and i am the single owner from 0 miles. The spark plug wires are factory installed. Some people say they need replacement for a 100k miles. But they seem fine and why do i need to replace. ?
Any ideas
