Default Spark Plug Question

I bought some Denso Iridium spark plugs for a B16A and Denso said they a pregapped and to just drop them in, is this correct or should I still gap them a bit more?

The iridiums are pregapped. If you try to gap them, the electrode might break. Toss them in.

You should always check the gap before installing.

Yes they should be pregapped but when I got my set 2 of them were out of spec. Be very careful if you have to regap one of them. I broke the electrode tip off one of them when I tried to regap it.

yuck. poor advice. you ALWAYS check that gap on new-in-box plugs. "Pregapped" doesn't imply that they're within spec.

but yes. you should be careful not to break the electrode.
