Default spark plug of cyl 3&4 smell like gas and are wet car wont start

spark plug of cyl 3&4 smell like gas and are wet car wont start but 1&2 are good. after swapping my head my car wont start. it was a simple d16y8 block with a y7 head. the y8 head was bad so im using the y7 head with the y8 computer. there should be no problems doing this.

when i press the gas pedal when it starts...it takes like 10 seconds to rev. it idles low at like 100. blob blob blob blob blob

whats the problem here?

could it be the clips on the injectors switched around? i dont think thats the case but could it be?

Have you tried doing a compression test to make sure you didnt throw a rod, or blow an oil ring off the piston ?

o-rings on injectors are good

motor was perfect before i had the tapping valve on thje old head

when i start it, its like blop blop blop[ blop like i have some v8 racecar

could it be the intake manifold i have has the fuel injection air valve and its not mating up with the y7 head?

check your timing, firing order, and make sure you plugged everything in tight. I spent and entire day once trying figure out why my engine would barely start after doing a swap, turned out I only half plugged in the shock tower plug for the injectors so that only 2 injectors worked and intermitantly at that.

Thats how I've always done mine. Everytime I time a honda I end up having to do it several times and I have no idea why, I have the manuals, even the real honda one, and i've done it several times and I always have trouble with it, its the only thing I really just consistantly can't get right and I have no idea why.

Its the white one, sorry my diagram kinda sucks. If this is for the engine timing and not the ignition timing just use the mark on the small timing belt pulley on the crank and line it up with the mark on the block.

I don't have a timing light. and B. i scribe a mark across the top of the distributor mounting flange and the cam cap so i can put it back exactly where I took it off.

as long as i turn the cam gear to where it says UP and its facing up[TDC], then i can reinstall the timing belt back on and itll work right? since my lower end is already tdc?

let me reexplain the problem.

my bottom end is at TDC, when its at tdc instead of my CAM gear having UP point UP its pointing down

Yeah, basically, just make sure when you tension the belt you rotate it couple of times to check that its still right before you put it all back together.

ok well i redid my timing took the belt off

lined up the crank at tdc the mark that was all by itself on the belt wheel

took the belt off, made the cam gear point up [tdc]

and i started the car and it was like i didnt do anything different. im getting the same ****.

i dont know if its because i didnt spray anything on my headgasket[it had that black tacky stuff on it already so i didnt]

or if its because im putting a y7 head and using a y8 intake manifold with air injection
