Howzit... thats SA slang for hello and no its not one of the 11 official languages... LOL
That Black FN2 CTR is mine the EK hatch is my Brother's while the Silver sedan belongs to my other Brother...
i've been browsing this forum for a while and when heeroSR4 told me he posted some of our cars I decided... what the hell...
we have loads of cars here, and there are some guys who import whatever they want even though it could cost double what a similar model will cost.
so this is my take... what ever you get make sure it has an "H" badge.

Re: South African Hondas...
Truth is there aren't that many boosted Hondas here I know of only a handfull, and only one supercharged FN2... There could be more. I think most peeps do ITB's,cams, zorsts and software/chips- or M3 throttles since they're farely common. I guess going NA is what it's all about. About restrictions, no the local "DMV" isn't that strict. Im guessing that as long as there's no visable smoke, it's all good. Although it must be said that the dealerships and manufacturers keep a close eye on this, but only on vehicles they sell and service.

Honda balllade whining noise drive train
I bought my honda ballade 1500 elegance new in 2015. From new i detected a whining/humming noise from the drive train. It was most prevelant between 60 and 80 kph. After a 2 year struggle with honda south africa they replaced the gearbox. I inspected the stripped gearbox and found serious damage. The main shaft bearing collapsed which eventually led to the gears rubbing each other. The gears were chipped and broken with resultant metal in the gearbox.
After the gearbox replacement i found that the whining noise is still present but now over a wider range namely 60 to 110 kph. The noise stop as soon as you put the car in neutral. The car now only have 19000km on the clock
I would like to know if there is anybody else with the same proplem. I am taking the problem back to honda.
