Sounds like a Subaru, only after warming up
Sup guys, My hatch is acting up. Its all bone stock with a stock d15. Its my dd and I dont beat on it.
So after warming up, my hatch develops a misfire that makes it sound like a Subaru. Like its running on 3 cylinders. And the power delivery definetly feels like its on 3 cylinders as well.
I've put new plug wires in and that did nothing. I also bought a new distributor cap, rotor, and new plugs. But its cold and dark out so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
I've read all the other posts that I found doing a search but the problem I'm having is different then those in that it only does it after its warmed up. It will run perfectly after its first start up of the day for about 10 minutes when while driving it will just drop a cylinder offline.
Anyone have any ideas as to why its only doing it after warming up? I just need it to last a coupe more months while I put together an ls/vtec.

haha actuallllyy, yes the head gasket is screwed. But only on the outside of one of the oil galleys. So it leaks pretty bad. But I've been driving it like this for a while and the subaru effect just started.
Also there is zero smoke coming out of the exhaust.

Check your fuel injectors, I had the same thing happen with my 92 SE-R... I used the ohmmeter on a multimeter to check resistance, found out fuel injector 3 had too much resistance, swapped an injector out, and it took care of the problem. Check specs for the injectors normal resistance.

Alright so replacing the distributor cap, rotor, and plugs did the trick!
I had one of those clear distributor caps on there and all the terminals looked like blue coral they were corroded so bad. That thing was only on the car for about 6 months.
