sound proofing removal??
i took out the carpet in my EG and i was wondering if you are able to take off the sound proofing that is on the floor of the front two seats, and how it is done.

wait till winter comes, REAL cold. Leave windows and maybe if you want doors open, and then come out the next morning and go at it with chisel and hammer. Or you can just use dry ice.

Die ICe and hammer and chisel is the eaiser way.
Unless you want to try the other way......Heat gun and scrapper.....gooey tar gets everywhere.

imo, do the dry ice...if you work fast enough and do a good job on breaking them off, then clean up is cinch too!! Just leave it on there until its nice and hard, then have at it. Good luck!

thanks for the help but one more question. how much dry ice do i need and how long does it have to stay on there?

do i just get a big slab of dry ice and lay it on there for like an hour or so....juts need to know how long to leave it on there.
