Default Sound deadening removal-- nothing needed!

I have a 94 Coupe and the sound deadening comes out actually really easily. I used a scraper of some sort and found spots where it didn't seem to adhered to the metal and worked out as many big pieces as I could. There's barely anything left behind either. I'm not sure if I got lucky or what but as far as I know-- dry ice isn't needed and I think heating it would make it worse. I'm sure dry ice is probably easier, but the hassle of going to get it and pay for it. Try it without and see what you can do.

Yeah, I think I'm pretty lucky (if I ever decide to remove mine). My rear seats aren't in right now and I can pick little pieces off here and there with just my fingers. Where's the tech in this again though?

My hatchback has 252,000+ miles on it and, thanks to the leaking water issue some of our cars have, I accidentally pulled out a chunk the size of a dinner plate when I was cleaning my car last weekend. I simply used a scraper and the rest of it, front and back, came out in about an hour.

Not a bad deal.

Yea- there was a little moisture under a couple pieces. Maybe if you strip out the interior and let a little water soak into the sound deadening, it will loosen it all up. Maybe simple green & water over a couple days will work.

Messy as using a pressure washer to get it out. It was easy but cleanup kinda sucked. Larry
