something is wrong...
ok i have a 2K si and it has 23000 miles on it. i just noticed that around the corner of the valve cover i see a lil bit of oil around it. WTF? also i took it for a drive couple nights ago and the car does not pull as hard as it did before. when i floor the throttle, it almost feels like its not getting enough air and really bogs. i dont know what the prob is guys. im thinking it might be the head gasket?? need your help guys.
thnx

Did you do the valvetrain work yourself? Did you replace gthe valve cover gasket when you did your engine work? Was it torqued properly all around? Those things can cause the leakage. I don't know about the sluggish part though. Could be a lot of things. Clean your air filter possibly.

whoever did the valvetrain work may not have used sealant at the sharp corners of the valvecover gasket where it goes up and over the cam caps at th ecamgears and distributor ends.
if there is a leak at the timing belt end you can get enough oil in there to possibly result in the timing belt skipping due to oil on it or oil in between the belt and the gears/crank. liquids (oil in this example) do not compress... so if it gets in between the teeth and the gear/crank it will stretch the belt. no good.
just a FYI.
