Everything you just said is mainly your opinion.

Hondas are raced over there. It's just that Drag Racing is not a big thing over in Japan. It's circuit racing.

Over here, people do what they want to do. It's not "oh, it's not supposed to happen".

An H22A is not 'supposed' to go into an EG. But obviously it does. It's called hybridding. And it's called making things work with other things.

It's what we do, what we want to do, and nothing wrong with doing it.

It's your opinion, not fact whatsoever. It's called a hobby.

period.

in the UK, HIN carshows are getting as popular as they are here. of course, the have many more/different cars to modify out there. the US and the UK (to a far lesser extent) have cars as a very important base in our culture.

urban japanese rarely drive b/c they dont have to. to me, the car culture is different out here b/c our culture is fundamentally built differently

I'm not here to start an argument... I'm asking the question: why is everything Americanized? We love Honda so much, why do we have to Americanize it? It's a Japanese car. Do things your own way, that's no problem. It just seems to be the trend over here that's all.. And most people don't question things. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody.

I don't want this post to get out of hand and waste everybody's time. I was seeing if anybody can relate.... If you think this is all very stupid, please just don't waste your time posting anymore.

back in the day, kids used big block chevy's b/c they were as popular as imports are now. impala ss's and mustangs with 427's used the roam the streets like it-r's and evo's do now.

there are still plenty of people that modify their f-body cars, as well as stangs. honda's are popular cuz tons of kids have them and its cool to "fix up" ur car

they teach an antro class on car culture here @ ucb

EXACTLY... just because people in Japan like something a certain way doesn't mean we have to do the same. If in Japan everyone goes gay should we? (nothing against gay people) Everyone has their own opinion, the majority of us like to DRAG RACE.... am i allowed to drag? just cuz ur car cant handle the 1/4 mile don't hate. Live ur life the way u want to and don't worry about others

Ridiculous topic. They drag race over in Japan like they do here on the streets and you should know it since you lived over there. Only, they don't stop light race, they usually end up doing it from a roll on the freeways.

How do you drag race from a roll on a freeway where you are already doing about 100 km/h?

I guess maybe racing from a roll doesn't really count as pure drag racing, but it's still nothing but straight line speed.

**** that was a lot of reading anyway. thats your opinion. I love honda till the end and i will never change. this is just what we do in america. what they do is their business. i love goin to the drag strip and watching the cars race or goin to car show and thinking dam that could be mine. when u take these 4 bangers and make them 11 12 sec cars thats a great thing. it keeps people occupied. then in the end all that work that they put in there car pays off.
