When I put a 95 LS into my 98 Civic I had to get a power steering line from an older honda b/c my fitting on the 98 Civic line was too big to fit in the LS pump.

So I had tony from jotech cut and weld the small fitting on the 98 civic line, works perfect.

I put a 2000 b18b into a 99 lx, and i used the pump that came with the b18b. Everything just bolted right up. The steering did feel a little lighter, so I took the pump out.

The line that is in the Civic does not match up to the Integra pump. Is modifying it the best alternative?

b/c power steering kicks ***, its not a workout when trying to park.

You can do one of two things, do what I did and have someone weld the right fitting on, or goto a junkyard and find a hose that bends the same way as your civic one and still has the smaller fitting.

The first is the easiest and cost me $15

What year is your pump, because mine fit fine. No modifications necessary. Mine was a 2k b18b into a 99 lx.

*edit* Sp.

Well I suppose it's personal preference, because removing the PS on my car was one of the best and most cost-effective modifications I ever made to it. With the components removed and the rack looped, steering effort was never an issue, and steering feel and feedback were greatly improved, not to mention the reduced weight (~16 lbs, roughly equal to installing a CF hood) and the freed-up power (4-5 whp on a B-series).

just leave what you have in the car and mate it to the LS parts that came with the motor....

yea it is personal prefrence.

a d-series power steering pump wont fit on the b18b, I've tried before i had to get the fitting welded.

the pumps are year specific so depends on what year motor you have to whether or not he is gonna need to change the fitting.
