someone help....idle issues (searched)
ok, i have a 98 lx auto w/all the stupid **** you see in my sig. ive replaced the following: plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap, fuel filter, radiator, intake, and cleaned out the IACV a dozen times. reset the ECU.
I unplugged the IACV and the rpms went up to much like in the 1500 rpm range and i plugged the hole inside the TB and the rpms went normal. what could be the problem? should i resort to replacing the IACV?
Update(sort of ) got a new exhaust system 4-1 header and 2.5 after the header w/ carsoud cat. could i be running a lil lean

What is the problem, you haven't really defined it? 3-wire IACV's do not shut down like its 2-wire cousin and unplugging a 3-wire should make the idle go higher.
So with it plugged in, what does the idle actually do that is the problem?
And you don't have a FITV, don't bother with the above link.

oh, ok the idle is like at 300 +/- and does it all the time. I put it in reverse and it goes lower and wants to shut off. ive done some "mods" to it but i doubt that is the reason. it idles really low anyone have this same problem.

alright, i just replaced every vaccumm hose on the f'n engine. Yet nothing has been able to fix this damm idle. just put in a new set of plugs a couple of weeks ago and they still look fine. What could be the problem? Could loose belts cause this problem. OH, THis **** only happens during the day not at night. At 8pm it idles right at 750rpm
