Im gonna try to explain this as best as possible, without making it too confusing.

about 6 months ago i did a d16z6 motor swap in my 92 civic dx hatchback.

Everything ran smoothly, i was using the map sensor wiring from the engine (z6) harness not the firewall (b7) one.

about 2 months ago i got a CEL for map sensor. so i ghetto rigged my firewall mount sensor using the same map sensor plug (z6) and it ran fine.

i finally got my new TB mounted map sensor and installed it. I used the same plug (z6 harness) and CEL came on immediately for map sensor. WTF???

then i tried swapping plugs to the firewall mount (b7) map sensor plug. And now it runs fine. No cel.

Why on earth would it stop reading from a plug thats been working 6 months, to a plug that i havent used since i had my d15b7 and p06?

im currently running a d16z6 and p28 (auto ecu, converted manual)

i noticed that the wires on the two harnesses arent the same colors either..

if someone can explain this to me.
